Best of 2021 Couples & Engagements
Here are the best of 2021 couples and engagements! I had the honor of capturing 28 incredible couples all around Virginia. I photographed eleven couples sessions, four proposals, ten engagement sessions, one maternity session, and two wedding portrait sessions. It’s an honor to capture every stage of love, from first anniversaries to tenth!

Hannah and Brad’s snowy Lost River State Park engagement session was filled with sweaters, cuddles, and the most gorgeous winter light. Check out their full engagement session!
Lynn and TJ’s Great Falls Park engagement session was a beautiful hike along Northern Virginia’s best natural landmark. As the sun was setting, we made our way back to the first overlook that has the best view of the falls. By this time, almost all the tourists were gone, and we had the whole area to ourselves! Some of my favorite photos were taken here, as the sky turned pink and the water turned iridescent. Check out their whole blog post!
Savanna & Colin’s Big Spring Farm spring floral engagement session was a dream. We met at Big Spring Farm just as the trees started blooming, and we had the most magical light for their waterfront engagement session. After walking around and taking photos with all the beautiful trees, we ended the session by getting into the canoe and fighting the wind to get some fun water photos. See their whole session here!
Veronica and Curtis met me early in the morning at one of my favorite spots for their engagement session just outside the Stokesville Campground. They were drawn to the greenery, the gorgeous mountain views, and the unique bridge over a rushing creek. See more of their photos here!
James’ Skyline Drive sunset proposal to his girlfriend Brianna on top of this Blackrock Summit hike was perfect! The sunset ended up being perfect and subtle for their engagement shoot and even matched their blue and green outfits and flowers. We had time for portraits and were able to recreate some of their favorite photos together. They popped the champagne and showed off the new ring! Read their whole story here!
Ann Marie and Mark’s elopement portraits started at their house in downtown Lexington with a picnic blanket and their dogs and ended in their elopement outfits at the Washington and Lee campus. We took photos in front of some of their favorite buildings, which included two very beautiful but very different churches. Check out their blog post to see more!
The rest of these photos were taken for my client closet! Go check it out to see what else I have and how you can wear these pieces too 🙂
