Barns of Madison County Wedding | Dana & Pauline
I can’t even begin to describe how amazing this day was, but let me try.
Dana & Pauline have been nothing short of amazing, loving, and ready for the roller coaster that is life. This is our third adventure together. You can read all about the first two parts of our adventure together here and get a throwback to this very venue exactly one year ago. Part 3 is the best, because this is where Dana and Pauline get MARRIED.
The whole day couldn’t have gone better. Yes there were scares and moments of panic, but what wedding would be complete without heart-pounding moments of both happiness and the unexpected? We started the day all in the Airbnb that the couple had rented along with their whole bridal party. We got ready together, prepared for the big day, and ran away from the quick morning downpour with only a few casualties. Group by group, we made our way to the venue. After some family getting ready shots and an adorable first look (filmed and narrated by the bridal party watching through the window), we were ready for the ceremony. Guests munched on popcorn and sat in the chairs overlooking the most beautiful valley in the world.
With the sky getting darker by the minute and a thunderstorm on its way, we started the ceremony early and laughed our way until Dana and Pauline said “I do” (maybe in the correct order, maybe not). We quickly got through family photos and a bridal party that half listened to directions and half didn’t (which created HILARIOUS pictures), and we had just enough time to squeeze in some couples portraits with the coolest jean jacket before the storm unleashed.
Safe inside the warm and lit barn, we danced our first dances, socialized, and waited for the storm to pass. As soon as it did, the sun came out, the pizza was ready, and the dancing began. We snuck a few more portraits in the most beautiful golden light with a few four-legged friends, posed with the coolest alcohol machine I’ve ever seen, and stuffed our faces with delicious cheesecake. The stars came out, the music was on point, and the laughter filled the hills of Shenandoah.
I can’t thank Dana and Pauline enough for creating such a magical night with the best team of vendors, and I hope you two have the best life together. Congratulations!
