Great Falls Park Engagement Session | Lynn & TJ
Lynn and TJ’s Great Falls Park engagement session was a beautiful hike along Northern Virginia’s best natural landmark. This was Lynn and TJ’s first time visiting these falls, and we had the best time exploring them together. Lynn was especially excited because her name literally means waterfall!
We started at the parking lot and walked along the river past all the tourists having picnics and enjoying the first iconic viewpoint. Credit goes to my boyfriend who found our first photo spot a 10 minute walk along the river, far away from everyone else and still incredible views. From our overlook we watched people climbing along the cliffs and enjoying the water way below us.
As the sun was setting, we made our way back to the first overlook that has the best view of the falls. By this time, almost all the tourists were gone, and we had the whole area to ourselves! Some of my favorite photos were taken here, as the sky turned pink and the water turned iridescent.
The biggest congratulations to Lynn and TJ on their engagement, and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding later this year!
Spot the rock scramblers in the background! We didn’t even go close to the edge, but these people were climbing all over the place to get down to the rocky beach below.
The winter light shining through these tress was gorgeous! We just had to stop on our walk back.
This is the most iconic view, so it was the perfect place to end this Great Falls Park engagement session! We had the sunset views all to ourselves.
These last two portraits are the result of the creativity that flows at the end of a session! It’s so fun to create beautiful and unique portraits for my couples.
