Melrose Caverns Wedding | Lauren & Clay

Lauren and Clay are married!! November 7th was a beautiful fall day that treated us to 70 degree weather and autumn colors. Melrose Caverns was the perfect stony backdrop to this family and friend-filled wedding, and I couldn’t be more excited to share about the day.

Lauren and Clay stayed for a few days in the guest house down the street from the venue. They were surrounded by all their friends and family, and when they woke up on their wedding day they could just jump right in. Their dog Duke wandered around the house in sheer joy at the amount of people that were there just to pet him.

After a morning of getting ready, everyone loaded up the cars and drove down the road to the venue. We put on some final touches in the bridal suite, then set Lauren and Clay up for a first look. They were so sweet and I have a behind the scenes photo of me gushing over how cute they are.

The couple rested for a bit before making the walk down to the ceremony field. They had set up a beautiful wooden arbor next to the cow pasture, and the wooden benches were surrounded by the trees framing the property. The ceremony went by so quickly, but it was filled with tears, personal vows, and Duke wanted to stand next to his parents.

After the ceremony, we took family, bridal party, and newlywed portraits as quickly as possible in a race against the sun. We joined the rest of the party inside the event space and enjoyed the rest of the night. Lauren and Clay had a cigar bar and lots of delicious food, and at one point in the night we snuck away into the caverns underneath the property for some unique wedding photos.

It was such an honor to be there for Lauren and Clay for their Melrose Caverns wedding. Their families were so welcoming and accommodating, and their friends were beyond helpful and supportive. The biggest thank you to their team of vendors who worked along us so well and made the day extra special.
