Skyline Drive Couples Session | Sam & Daniel
Sam and Daniel’s Skyline Drive couples session was an absolute dream come true. This was a passion project for me to visually show the world what kind of photography I most love. We took the photos this past summer when I completely rebranded to the mountain-centric adventurous brand you see today.
One day I wrote down a few session ideas that I really wanted to photograph that would encompass my new brand. These sessions included senior sessions by the lake, couples sessions by the river, and mountain elopements. One of these sessions was a road-trip inspired Skyline Drive session, and Sam and Daniel made my vision come to life.
We met up at Rockytop Overlook one summer evening and prepared for two full hours of shooting. Sam had a cast on her wrist from a recent accident, but took it off for the photos. And I squealed when Daniel drove up in his mother’s classic car!
We took photos in three different outfits. The first outfit was a fun and simple outfit, and we ran around the overlook and got some energetic photos. I climbed onto a ledge on the cliff so we could get driving photos of Sam and Daniel. These images have become my absolute favorite photos ever because they truly show everything I love: travel, adventure, love, and the beautiful mountains.
I had Sam and Daniel change into their second outfits to interact with a map of Skyline Drive in. The sun was peak golden hour, and the golden hues in these photos are some of my favorites.
The third and last outfit was dressier and absolutely meant for the sunset. We got some classy photos with the car, then stood on the wall and watched the moon rise and the summer sunset fill the sky with incredible colors. Just as the last light was fading, Sam and Daniel hopped in the car for some last photos then drove away into the night.
I can’t thank these two enough for making my dreams literally come true.
