Sarah’s Skyline Drive senior session was the epitome of an adventure senior session. We met at Upper Hawksbill Summit parking lot where she brought her mom, brother, boyfriend, and dog. Together we started the climb to the summit and after twenty minutes we reached the top where we had the most amazing view.

I’ve never seen the summit so crowded, but we were able to carve out little spaces for us to get some awesome pictures of the rocky tops and the views that completely surrounded us.

Sarah’s first outfit showed off her high school and it’s colors. Then she changed into her second outfit and started climbing some of the rocks. While we were climbing we saw a cloud starting to roll over the mountains to the north of us. At first we were excited because it looked absolutely amazing. However, the cloud was rapidly approaching us as we were taking pictures at the top.

We became covered in the cloud within minutes and found ourselves surrounded by heavy fog and couldn’t see very far. Everyone at the top was excited because it was a really cool phenomenon, but we decided it was time to start hiking back down.

Our original plan was to continue north and go to the overlooks that faced opposite directions. Thanks to the huge cloud, the entire northern half of Skyline Drive was covered. We quickly changed plans and headed south towards Big Meadows.

Sarah changed into her third outfit and we walked around the beginning of Big Meadows. She ran back and forth with her dog and did some really great movement with the wind picking up. Then she changed into her last outfit and we headed to the top. A beautiful sunset was awaiting us and we got adorable photos of Sarah, her boyfriend, and her dog. We also used the Beyonce wind to the max.

The views were incredible, the wind was great, and Sarah was absolutely the most adventurous soul. It was a pleasure taking her senior portraits and I can’t wait to see what she does in college.
